(September 2009)
My bible sits collecting dust,
rarely used because I just
can't find time to sit and read,
this book is not my greatest need.
I like the thought of love and peace
but when sin comes in, there you must cease!
I'm not an evil murderer and never was a thief,
I'm a big fan of prosperity and giving friends relief.
I divorced my wife last week, but hey, what else is new?
Just look in churches anywhere: they all can do it too!
If this is you or one you know,
then live for Christ and through this show
that living lukewarm will cause terrible pain
unless you enjoy being spit down the drain.
Is this a Christian attitude?
Where is the humble gratitude?
Where is the thanks for free redemption?
Where is the thanks for guilt exemption?
We've been given more then we could ever need,
now what has become of the Sower's seed?
Do we heed?
Humbly plead?
Do we beg for Him to meet our need?
No indeed-
we respond with selfish greed.
We turn our backs as He hangs and bleeds
giving His life to forgive our deeds.
He was forsaken, we've been freed
He came to let His example lead.
Jesus said you must serve one master,
if you live another way, you will come to disaster.
So chose today who your master will be:
Satan wants to burn you; Jesus sets you free!
